CCBMA Certification Testing
The California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants (CCBMA) is a private non-profit corporation and has been administering the California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam since 1990. CCBMA is recognized by the Medical Board of California as an approved agency through which medical assistants may obtain certified status.
The mission of CCBMA is to encourage career advancement of all medical assistants in the state of California and to plan, develop, administer and evaluate continuing professional competence.
Registration and Scheduling
To register for CCBMA exams, please download an application from www.ccbma.org or call 866-622-2262. Scheduling an appointment to test will be allowed after completing the application process.
You will be required to agree to the NDA Agreement (48 KB pdf) that will be presented at the beginning of your exam. Failure to read/accept the agreement within the allotted 5 minutes will result in your exam ending and a forfeit of your exam fees. Please take a moment to review the agreement now so that you are familiar with it when you sit for your exam.
