Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test
Lloyd’s has taken the decision to discontinue the Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT) in 2015.
No further LLMIT packs will be released after 31 March 2015, but examination sittings will continue up to the end of the year to give existing students ample time to complete the programme. For anyone wishing to re-sit their exam before 31 December 2015, ‘LLMIT Exam Entry only’ vouchers will still be available to purchase from www.mindhub.co.uk until 1 December 2015.
We remain committed to providing an accessible education programme to improve knowledge and skills in the Lloyd’s market. To this end we have agreed with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) to promote the Award in London Market Insurance (ALMI) as our qualification of choice for Lloyd’s Market specialists. We are now working closely with the CII to develop a further module, specifically relating to underwriting, which we believe will strengthen further the underwriting skills in the Lloyd’s and London Market.
For those simply interested in an overview of the Lloyd’s Market, the Lloyd’s Global Development Centre (GDC), which focuses on educational and networking events that promote Lloyd’s as the world’s specialist insurance market, has produced a number of videos that might be useful.
The GDC is currently working on bringing these and other videos together into one offering which will be launched later this year.

LLMIT Exam Update
The 2013 LLMIT exam version is now no longer available, and has been updated to the 2014 LLMIT exam.
The new 2014 LLMIT exam is assessing exactly the same material. The update is due to the regulatory changes made in the UK involving the FSA now being split into the PRA and FCA.
The exam has been altered to take account of the changes and all references from March 4th 2015, have removed FSA from the exam replacing with FCA or PRA as appropriate.
The 2013 syllabus material already takes this into account, so please do not be alarmed by this.
