The application and scheduling process for Texas Nurse aide candidates is changing on July 8, 2015.
Paper applications for exams will not be accepted after May 22, 2015.
- June 13, 2015 through July 7, 2015:
Blackout dates. Candidates will NOT be able to complete online registration or schedule examinations.
- July 8, 2015:
Candidates start registering for and scheduling their own examinations online.
- July 22, 2015:
The earliest possible testing date at approved test sites in Texas
Special Exam Requests and Services
Pearson VUE complies with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq. ) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as amended (42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. ), in accommodating disabled candidates who need special arrangements to take the examination. If you have a disability, you must ask for special arrangements for testing when you apply. All requests must be approved in advance by NACES. Be sure to explain the specific type of help you need and enclose proof of the need (diagnosed disability) from your health care provider. Nurse Aide Evaluators administering the Written (or English or Spanish Oral) Examination and the Skills Evaluation will be prepared to meet the needs of nurse aide candidates who have disabling conditions.
